It exists as a typical enhancer, with minimal expression (~ 2 TPM by RNA-seq). When the same cells are grown as a subcutaneous xenograft on the back of an immunocompromised mouse, the super-enhancer is induced with significant increases in H3K27ac deposition at the region and approximately 30–40 × increase in PDZK1IP1 expression.
