From: The long non-coding RNA Kcnq1ot1 controls maternal p57 expression in muscle cells by promoting H3K27me3 accumulation to an intragenic MyoD-binding region

Kcnq1ot1 knockdown boosts p57 induction in differentiating myoblasts. a Proliferating C2.7 myoblasts were transfected with Kcnq1ot1 siRNAs. After 24 h cells were collected to analyze Kcnq1ot1 levels by RT-qPCR in samples depleted for Kcnq1ot1 transcript (siKcnq1ot1) compared to the control (siCTR). Values, relative to those of Tbp RNA, are the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. Statistical significance: p value < 0.01 (**); b RT-qPCR analysis of p57, p21 and Kcnq1 expression in siCTR and siKcnq1ot1-transfected cells 24 h after the shift to differentiation medium. Values, relative to those of Tbp RNA, are the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. Statistical significance: p value < 0.001 (***)
