A model for Ezh2 variant expression and regulation of PRC2 in histone methylation. Ezh2 transcriptional levels are controlled by E2F and a cell-type-specific transcriptional factor (sTF) to fulfill the required histone methylation. The ratio of EZH2 variants is regulated through distinct combination of RNA binding proteins (RBPs), which determines the fidelity and efficiency for establishing and maintaining H3K27 methylation.
