Schematic representation of the dynamics of H3K27me3 and H3K9me3-rich domains in chicken cells. The distributions of the heterochromatic domains in nuclei of BCs, ESCs, RA-differentiated ESCs, PGCs, CEFs and somatic differentiated cells are represented. A decrease of H3K27me3 enrichment at pericentric heterochromatin and an increase at other loci is observed upon in vivo and as well as in vitro differentiation
